How Long are the Walks? |
|
|
These walks are only around the City of London – the Square Mile as is often called – so the area covered on a walk is never more than a couple of miles. They are designed to be covered at a leisurely pace with about 15-20 stops for the guide to mention places and events that are interesting. From start to finish, a walk usually lasts about 2 hours. We meet around 11 am to give people a chance to take advantage of the cheaper – and less crowded – travel opportunities into London. These walks could be on any day of the week. From Monday to Friday, we have to remember that London is a busy working capital and group sizes are limited to make sure everyone can enjoy the experience – despite the busy streets. Saturday and Sunday are easier from a guiding point-of-view but the choice is yours. When possible, the walks start and finish close to a station – either Fenchurch Street, Liverpool Street or one of the London Underground stations. All these details can be given when you contact LONDON FOOTSTEPS prior to booking a place on one of the walks. |
